Spaghetti Western Fumetti: Lanciostory A.5 #26 - "Come Coda di Volpe Divenne Bandito"

I bought this comic at a store called 'Francois' in Eastbourne, England. Francois sells all kinds of collectibles, including comics, and he's actually Italian, not French, despite his name. He had just one Italian comic in his store, and it was the first I'd ever seen in real life. I knew Italian comics could have great art and I wasn't disappointed with this one. It has 108 pages, mostly black and white, but some color, and has seven features of various genres. There's crime, romance, western, war, horror, all in the same book, printed on high quality paper with a smooth finish. This one (Lanciostory Vol. 5 #26 from 1979) was 500 lire back then, but I don't know what that was in 1979 dollars. The western story from this issue is signed on the last page, and is by writer Raffaele Ambrosio and renowned Venetian artist Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri. This team worked on a series of stories about the history of the West that were published in Lanciostory and Skorpio. This gem is certainly an incentive to learn Italian!

And here's the back cover of the book:

I'll post a couple more of the stories from this book in upcoming weeks. I'm sure you'll agree that the quality of the artwork on this western is just outstanding.
